reflecting on death helps me experience life in a congnizant and purposeful way.. it makes each day rich and meaningful.. nothing could ever really prepare you for your demise though, so it still kinda scares the bejesus outta me if i think about it too hard...
p.s. you are sorta scaring the bejesus outta me me
p.p.s i don't appreciate the extra me on the end that i swear i didn't put there.. (ok, i don't like swear on my life or anything cause i mighta did it and i dont wanna die. now im scared again)
Not intended to scare - but certainly, I can see that...
Some of this came to my mind with the talk of the Rapture - the conversations with many folks who each had a vision of an afterlife - but no one mentioned the box that they'll be buried in.
Forever is a long long time - and we have such a short time to prepare for it.
Skewing the words and having the left justified made the whole thing feel different. The first version had the image in the center, and the text down the middle (across the image).
But the visual was off.
THIS version, though... Everything seemed to be well balanced and in place. Tidy, if you will...
For me the best way to prepare for the void is to live a full life. Life in the here and now. For me, the void is just that, nothingness. Then absence of everything. And it will take you when it will.
Amazing post, btw. Loved the words inside the husk. Loved the words outside the husk. Loved the arrangement of text and image. Loved the death dance.

I think it's quite beautiful.

I fully believe that the best we can do is to live a life that we are not ashamed of - the rest of it is outside of our control and input.
